Man United vs Sevilla Manchester United will be bidding for a first-leg advantage as they welcome Sevilla to their Europa League quarter-final at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
The Red Devils have already dispatched two La Liga teams, eliminating Barcelona and Real Betis from this season’s tournament, while Sevilla beat PSV Eindhoven and Fenerbahçe in the qualifying rounds.
This is not the European rival that United will want to become accustomed to running with manager Eric Ten Haag, who has ambitions of taking the club back to the top of the Champions League, but the Europa League presents another winning shot. The big silver item this season.

Ten Hag’s side is fourth in the Premier League table, three points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, and in back-to-back domestic league wins against Brentford and Everton, they haven’t conceded a goal in either game leading into this fixture.
The 2017 Europa League champions Manchester United will play six more games next week at the Estadio Ramon, including the quarter-final second leg against Sevilla.
Red Devils eliminated Barcelona in the Europa League playoff round, beating Real Betis 5-1 on aggregate in the round of 16. Sevilla is now among the English giants in another major semi-final in Europe, losing their last two games against La Liga, including the 2020 Europa League semi-final.
Three trophies and getting into the top four means a great first campaign under Ten Hag and it will be interesting to see how the Red Devils’ season ends.

Man United vs Sevilla Playing XI
Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, L Martinez, Malacia; Casemiro, Fred, Fernandes; Antony, Martial, Sancho
Sevilla possible starting lineup: Bono; Montiel, Bade, Gudelj, Acuna; Fernando, Rakitic; Ocampos, Torres, Lamela; En-Nesyri
United will lack the services of Marcus Rashford, who had a groin problem against Everton on Saturday. Making an official statement, Red Devils said that they will miss many games, especially Sevilla.
Donny van de Beek, Tom Heaton, and Alejandro Garnacho remained on the treatment table, while Luke Shaw was recently pulled over for a hamstring problem.
Red Devils will be powered by Casemiro’s return. However, Casemiro can play in Europe and currently has a four-game local penalty. Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen suffered an ankle injury against Everton on Saturday.
Anthony Martial has been off the bench in the team’s last two games and can now enter the XI at center-forward, replacing Rashford, while Fred can replace Scott McTominay, who was injured in practice.
As for Sevilla, Lucas Ocampos is back in the squad after his league suspension against Celta, but Joan Jordan and Jesús Manuel Corona are both injured and Pape Chejk is ineligible.
On loan from Manchester United, Alex Telles could face the main club and the Brazilian international could potentially play against a paying team.
Coach Mendilibar will have to make crucial decisions on the pitch, but Youssef En-Nesyri will lead the team’s top scorer in Morocco, with 14 goals this season, three of them in Europe.
Marcos Acuna was sent off against Celta in the last league but is present here and is expected to be confirmed against Teles as the away team’s left-back.

There’s no escaping the fact that it’s been a hopelessly disappointing home campaign for Sevilla, currently sitting 13th in the La Liga chart.
5 points away from the relegation zone and 19 points behind fourth-placed Real Sociedad, Los Nervionenses currently need a win in this competition to qualify for the Champions League in the 2023-24 campaign.
Sevilla has finished in fourth place in each of their last three La Liga campaigns, but that won’t be the case this season and it wasn’t very convincing as they lost both legs in the second match against PSV Eindhoven and Fenerbahce in the Europa League qualifying round.
As a matter of fact, despite losing the return match in Turkey, the Sevilla giants won the qualifying rounds 3-2 in total before beating Fenerbahçe 2-1.
This tournament should be taken very seriously, although Sevilla struggled to impress for most of the campaign as they won the Europa League six times, a competitive record with their recent success in 2020.
Jose Luis Mendilibar’s team will enter this fixture after Friday’s 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo in La Liga.
